Perceivly vs AudioEye: an alternative that fixes the source

Facts checked , with sources below.

AudioEye says it is not an accessibility overlay that promises one-click compliance, but a platform that combines automation with expert human testing and custom fixes. Its JavaScript runs on your site: when a page loads, it reads the rendered code, finds accessibility issues and fixes them in the browser. AudioEye says this works with no toolbar and no widget.

Perceivly adds no script at all. It checks your pages on a schedule, tracks each issue until it is fixed in your code or content, and keeps a dated record of the work.

When to choose which

AudioEye may suit you better if

  • You want a vendor to apply fixes for you while your team works on the source.
  • You want expert human testing, document remediation or legal support from the same vendor.

Perceivly may suit you better if

  • You want fixes to live in your code and content, not in a script that runs on every page.
  • You want published prices and to start today, without a sales call.
  • You run an agency and need white-label reports, a client portal and an evidence log.
  • You need WCAG, ADA and EAA (EN 301 549) reports for clients or auditors.

Fixes in the browser or in the source

A fix applied by a script exists only while that script runs, and only in browsers where it loads. A fix in the source stays when you change vendors, and also reaches tools that read your HTML directly. Perceivly is built for the second approach: it shows what to change and notices when the change is live.
